FTP Tutorial

In case you cannot access our FTP site using Internet Explorer try the following instructions:

Windows Users:
Follow the following link and download the version of SmartFTP that is compatible with your operating system.

After downloaded and installed, launch the program.
From the top menu select File->New Local Browser. A file explorer window should appear and show the contents of your desktop. Navigate to the directory that your files are located the same way you would if you were on your desktop (ie. Double click “My Computer”, etc.)

From the top menu select File->New Remote Browser

A window will pop up. Fill in the following fields:
Host: www.snap3d.com
Username: (provided in our email to you)
Password: (provided in our email to you)

Do not alter the other form fields.

Click OK

Another file explorer window will appear. This is your FTP folder on our server. Select the files you wish to upload, then drag them over to the server window the same way you would move a file from My Documents to your Desktop on your computer. You will see a blue status bar at the bottom of the server window. Once complete your files should show up in the folder on the server window.

Once the files have been uploaded, you may close the program and notify us by email of your success.

Macintosh Users:
